About her
Erstwhile Londoner and femme sérieuse manquée, I seem to be feeding the algorithms and weighing up the trade-offs. I've been amicably divorced for 2 years, after separating in 2019, with a comfortable timeshare arrangement on two teenagers.
A dramatic career swerve after having children and questioning my life choices has resulted in a Proper Job for a Grown-up. I'm not sure I've found the answers, but I can at least that say that I'm a Useful Human. I'm proud of my work - but it's not my whole life.
All the usual baggage applies, but I'm reasonably self aware, and can at least laugh at my character flaws. I'll point them out so you can laugh at them too, but you need to not mind me pointing out yours. That right there is my primary character flaw.
I love good food, belly-laughing, a proper walk, history and politics, music (from Monteverdi to King Creosote via Donna Summer, JS Bach and Dollar Brand), art and design, kitchen discos, kindness and chatting. I frequently forget to shave my legs/pits. If that sort of thing bothers you, we're unlikely to find common ground.
I'm not a body fascist, but I'm very keen on not falling into disrepair. I expect a similar dedication to avoiding entropy*. I realise that gets harder with age, but come on. Make an effort.

Things that matter to me: kindness, a willingness to laugh at yourself and be silly, open-minded and interested in the world. Kind, thoughtful, practical and intelligent. An innate understanding that less is more when it comes to aftershave / hair product.
